The Northern Inuit Standard
The Northern Inuit dog is a strong robust animal of
good nature, an all round companion and loving sociable family dog
with a stunning appearance that resembles as closely as possible
the wolf.
- The accepted height for bitches is a minimum of 22 inches.
- The accepted height for dogs is a minimum of 24 inches.
- The coat is a dense double coat with longer on ruff,
heavier in winter months.
- The gate is graceful and long reaching.
- Ears should always be erect.
- Eye colour is preferably Amber to Brown.
- Tail carriage should always be held low, curly tails
are considered a fault.
- Typical colours range from Greys to Cream, and Grizzled
Brown to Black.
